THE IRON COFFIN ☠️⚰️

Often used as an example to others, the iron coffin was sometimes a punishment that would last a few days or hours and sometimes it was a death sentence.

The coffin would often be made too small for the victim leaving them in agony from muscle cramps and pressure sores, the victims would sometimes be cut and wounds allowed to fester. They would be open to the elements, wind, rain, sun, snow and the coffins could be placed high up on hills or buildings or even in public places to be served with a side of humiliation.
